"I'm Kelli on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to show you some tips and techniques that I use on bathing my horse. So the thing to do before you give your horse a bath is to take a curry comb such as this and to go over any dirt or sweat that might be crusted down deep into your horse's coat. This will ensure that you really get your horse nice and clean when you do shampoo. It will just loosen anything up so that you remove everything off of your horse's coat. Anything that might be deeper down into the horse's skin that might lead to a fungal problem later. This will just make sure to get your horse nice and clean especially after riding which we just finished riding her. She's got a little bit of sweat on her where the saddle goes. This will loosen up any of that sweat that may be crusted down deep into her fur. So that is how you will want to curry your horse before you bathe her. "
