"Another one of my favorite plants to have which is actually a shrub is called a zebra grass. As you can see by its coloring it does have actual parts of the blades which do show you the color change. If you look at the whole bush you could see different parts have this different strip in it probably when it is called the zebra grass. Interesting enough when this plant starts to grow in the spring you don't see any of those stripes. Sometimes people would say when are they actually going to appear and I think it has to do with the height when it gets to a certain height you would actually find the little stripes that actually come on. This is a great background as you could see that it gets to about 5 feet tall. What I like about this is everything that grows in front of it looks better. These beautiful cone flowers are pinker with this kind of a plant, with this purple Veronica stands out really nicely with this in the background and any think yellow that is in front of it you would see that it would definitely complement each other. So the zebra grass is a great easy to grow bush for any garden to have. "
