"The first chord we're going to be doing is the ii minor. (playing piano) What's cool about the minor chord is you can just get that scale under your fingers cause every note pretty much sounds good. So you can just go hit clumps of chords grouping and notes, it just pretty much really helps to get that scale really there and you just make sure that you use the second note of the scale as the root. Which is F sharp here to the lowest note I'm playing the F sharp, second note to the scale, and you can just float around the scale. (playing piano) So that's the first chord in the key of E major."
