"My name is Amitavh Bhattacherji. I'm speaking on behalf of Expert Village and I represent my company, Abstract Frames and Supplies Private Limited, Calcutta, India. I have a picture frame in my hand. There's two colors of mount mats that have been used. I've already explained how the mat was cut, how the inside mat was cut first and the outside mat second, how the two mats were joined, and how the painting was hinged to the mat. The most important thing to remember is, had we not put these two layers of mat, the glass would be touching the painting. And, this is a very important, valuable painting done by charcoal on paper. If the glass touches the painting there is a big possibility that the painting will get destroyed. So, any important, expensive painting should be matted. Now, you will see that the glass is sitting on the mat and is not touching the painting because two layers of the mat is keeping the glass far away from the painting. This helps protect the painting. The longer side was cut first, the shorter side was cut second. When I had two long sides and two short sides, I stapled them from below. I used a little glue to add the two corners, so that now I have a wedge plus glue to make the corner form. Then I cut my glass back and picture to fit into the debate of the frame. Then I stapled, with a gun, these pins, which will hold the back, the frame, and the picture in place. Then I put my hanging systems, tie the chord, put a tape to hold back the dust, and my picture was ready. Thank you."
