" Hi! I'm Bob D'amicantonio and I'm here with my brother Lou on behalf of Expert Village. We are going to talk a little bit about the care of your nice sandals. This is a Birkenstock sandal and I am sure a lot of people are familiar with it. This is a sueded finish and they also come in a nubuck finish. Again, very important to spray them up when you first buy them. A couple of light coats prevents against a lot of staining. Also what is important with these, these are a cork foot bed. If you look at it now you see that its got a little glaze over the cork. It's kind of a glue. It's on there to keep the cork together, to keep it from breaking up. With wear and tear, that glaze is going to start to wear off and its a good idea to put a little cork seal on top of the cork. There's a good product like this you can even use an all purpose cement. It will keep that cork together and keep your shoe going a lot longer. "
