Goal of Good Design for Home Lighting Tips

"My name is Brent Shelly with Expert Village and we are talking about lighting design today. One of the biggest things you want to do when approaching a particular space is that you want to think of it in terms of layer. The more layers you have, the more flexibliity you have in a space and you can create different moods, different ambience and really for instance in a kitchen when you are preparing food, you need a high level of light. When you are hanging out after a meal or having a nice a glass of wine or just hanging out, you need a lot less light so you want to be able to control that lighting; be able to have different layers. Something that I kind of created to help me and to help in teaching others to think of the layers is a little acronym that I use ta da. It is kind of easy to remember and it is kind of cheesy I know but it is easy to remember because what we are doing is creating magic. Ta da, that is just kind of memorable. "
