"My name is Brent Shelly with Expert Village and we are talking about lighting design. I want to talk to you a little bit about residential lighting applications. If you are here to get some tips and tricks on lighting your home, I want to give you a little bit of that today. There are some common light sources that are used in lighting with one being incandescent source which is your standard light bulb that we all have in our table lamps, down lights in our ceilings and things like that. There are also fluorescent light bulbs that have really come into their own. Fifteen years ago fluorescent light bulbs were really ugly and they make people look ugly and they have this horrible hum to them. A lot of people don't like fluorescent light bulbs because they have this understanding of fluorescent bulbs. They are not that way anymore. Fluorescent lamps have come a long way like I say and they are a very viable sources for general lighting in residential applications. "
