"Hello my name is Melissa Shenk and on behalf of Expert Village today I am going to teach you how to paint a room with stripes. In this clip lets talk about removing our tape promptly. Very important. What you want to do is just that, you want to remove the tape. But, you want to remove the tape while the paint is still wet. This is a great two person job. It really is by that I mean striping the walls, painting the walls, the whole process. Because it is time consuming and it is a great two person job. So, by saying it is a two person job, by that I mean that one person can be actually applying the paint, to the stripe and then before the paint has dried the other person can be taking off the tape stripes. The reason I encourage you to do that. A couple of different things. One you don't want the paint to be drying onto the tape because if you take it off after it has dried you run the risk of some of the paint ripping off with the tape as you pull that off. If you have ever taken tape off of base boards you will know what I mean. Sometimes you can rip it and the paint can come, depending on how thick of your coat that you put on there can come right off with the tape. So you want to alleviate that and it will also help to alleviate any bleeding as well, you will be able to catch it right off the bat. So, one person can apply the paint on towards the wall, the other person can be taking the tape off of the walls around the stripe that you just painted. And you will really I think, by doing it as a two person job great. You can do it by yourself, no problem, but it really does help if two people are doing this together."
