"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to talk about how to design the home office of your dreams. In this clip, let's talk about ergonomics, especially when you're picking furniture for your office. Obviously, a little bit different if you are picking chairs for clients to come and sit in. For yourself, very important thinking about ergonomics and thinking about the relationship of your chair to your workspace. Always a good idea to have an adjustable chair. That way if you or someone else is sitting here and you're at different heights, you can adjust if you need to. A very important thing to keep in mind is if you think about pianist or when you were in school for instance. You need to sit on the edge of your chair, and you had your wrists up if you were a pianist, to type. Again, thinking ergonomically is thinking about your body in relationship to your computer, your chair, and your table so that everything is correlation so that you don’t get a sore back, a sore neck, you don't get tired easily, you're not crunched over, slouched over, and concentrating on what you're doing. If you do think about ergonomics, you will be a little bit more productive in your day as well."
