How to Light a Home Office

"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to talk about how to design the home office of your dreams. In this clip, let's talk about lighting. Pay attention to your lighting. It's so important. This is the home office of your dreams, but you have to be able to be very efficient in it as well whether it be in the day time or in the night time. First off, you have to think about are you getting in natural light? Where you're placing your desk? You may not want to have your computer towards the window. In this room, we opted for that because it just seemed to suit the room best. What we've also done because we do get natural light coming in this window, we've of course put in a blind. If it's really sunny on one day and we happen to be working on the computer, we can close the blind without any problem. If it isn't too sunny, then we can have it open, or we can have it half open as well. We also opted for a couple of other different lighting options to think about too. You just want to go from the light off of your computer, that's for sure. We've installed some overhead lighting here, we've got a desk lamp, and we've also added some other neat lamps that don't necessarily look like lamps but are. If you want a little bit of extra light, you can have it as well. Some things to think about. Very important, do pay attention to the lighting. "
