"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to talk about how to design the home office of your dreams. In this clip, let's first talk about self knowledge. You're probably wondering, what is she talking about. Great offices, great home offices, come from self-knowledge. The knowledge of you. The knowledge of how you work best in the space that you are given, in the space that you have given yourself. In the room that you see here, very plain, very bare. We've got papers all over the place. By the end of these 15 clips, you will see this room transformed into a home office that is going to be fabulous. Fabulous for myself and my husband because it's going to be setup the way that we will want it, the way that will work best for us. All of these suggestions, they are suggestions. You may need to adjust them for your needs, but by that I mean with the self-knowledge, how do you work best. Do you put all of your papers out? Do you spread all of your papers out on a large table? Do you need a large desk? Do you need a large table? Do you write yourself a lot of notes? Do you put post it notes everywhere? Do you put those notes on a tack board? How do you work the best? Do you save your information on a hard drive that's portable, or do you have everything that is on paper and that you put in a filing cabinet? You need to think about all of these things because a dream office, a dream home office is what will work best and most efficient for you and your needs. How you will think better, how you be more productive. All of those things take into account about that self-knowledge. Make some notes first off of how you work best in the environment that you work best in and all of the needs that you are going to be thinking of when you're creating your dream home office."
