Summary: Learn how to use the trigger lock on a motorized miter saw from a construction expert in this free power tools video.
"Hi, this is Ed Reyes with Master Builders from Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is how you use and maintain a miter saw. The first thing you want to do when you are going to use this tool is make sure that you plug it into a 3 prong outlet so you have it grounded and be very careful. This is a two trigger handle. There is a button that you have to push here first in order to pull this handle in on the inside. If you pull the handle from the inside, absolutely nothing happens. That's a good safety habit because that way if somebody can't accidentally start this machine and cut themselves. So you must depress this black button first and then you pull in with the inside to get the saw to actually work. Now I recommend using a high gage heavy cord coming from wherever you are using your power source from and also a three-way so that you don't have to be unplugging tools as you use. Always have a grounded plug, 3 prong plug, careful as you plug it in and make sure that it is in very good. As soon as you do that, you want to come back and check and make sure that your saw is working properly. Okay, now you are ready to cut. "
