Summary: Learn how to store a motorized miter box from a construction expert in this free power tools video.
"Hi! This is Ed Reyes of Master Builders in Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is how you use and maintain a miter saw. Now when you are through with this unit, storage is a very important thing. You want to keep well taken care of your tools. The first thing you want to do is unplug your plugs, make sure it is disconnected. Then you come over and you want to bend this down and lock it with this unit over here and tighten it so that it is completely locked and safe. The most important thing when breaking down these tools is to make sure there is nothing loose on this tool like a slide that will potentially hurt you. The first thing I always do is I bring down this blade so that the blade is completely locked away and can't get hurt. The thing that I always do is I bring down this blade so that the blade is completely locked away and can't get hurt. The next thing I do is unlock my sides and slide everything in so that it is in close as possible on both sides. The next thing to do would be to take this whole unit and slide it forward and lock it here so that now it can't go sideways, it can't go up and we take our cord and we gently wrap it around and put it away. Now there are two handles back here that slide up and down. These two handles are what grabs the stand. So to release this unit, what you would have to do is to release these handles and raise up and the saw comes off. Now there are two handles here that I use to carry it. So to carry this unit, you just basically raise it up these two handles. For storage, I lay it down flat so that it is on the ground safe. The table is left. What we do here, there are little buttons you push that you can close in. They lock and you do the other side. Now there is a handle here on the bottom that you use to carry it and there's your unit. Lay it down and you are ready to put it away and you are ready for the next time. "
