"MARK BLOCKER: Hello. I'm Mark Blocker on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we're covering "Applying the Base Coat Part 2", then we're just going to finish rolling out the door jambs on the first base coat. And it's just like--done just like the primer. We're going to put it on thin, roll it, and cover the entire area, watching for drips and impurities. Now, after this primary base coat, the actual finished paint doesn't dry near as quickly as a primer and it needs more time to set up thoroughly, so we're going to wait a good eight hours after the first base coat of the door jambs before applying the second coat. It won't seem that way in the video, but in actuality that's the situation at hand. You want to make sure you give the paint ample time to set up and cure thoroughly 'cause that'll affect the hardness of the paint and its durability for the future. Okay. Now that we've finished applying the first base coat to the door, basically, what we're going to need to do is we'll allow this to dry, and under our current conditions and temperatures and everything, we're going to give it about eight hours to do that. So, we'll pick back up with our next segment on the final sanding and then the final base coat segment to follow that tomorrow. So, please stay tuned for our next segment on "Final Sanding"."
