Tips for Drawing a Snowman

"Hello, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you today how to draw a snowman cartoon for this holiday season. With our snowman cartoon complete, there are a couple of additional sort of surround effects you can go for. These are purely optional, but I'm going to throw them in there because I've seen them in a lot of other snowman cartoons and other drawings. One is a very easy one; snowflakes. Put it at a diagonal and basically do like so. Central line, then an "x" around the central line. Do a couple of these. Try not to be too equidistant. It's a very, very easy trap to fall into that looks really unnatural. But try to be a little more random about your snowflakes. Put them at a different angle if you want. You can also do different colors. You don't have to just stick with one. You know, it's just something to consider. You can do light, you can do a very, very narrow felt pen. Or, I've seen people do thick. If you have more issues with line control, if you are still getting that down, do the fine to control lines. Another addition you can do is add some vegetation to the background. You may have some conifers actually around here. I'm basically making some quick triangles on the sides. Put a couple of these guys here in the background. Again, I'm just being very hap-hazard about this. You know, there's some forest going on about here. Throw a couple more things in for some more chaos. You know, more like a forest actually looks; not everything is equidistant. And you can always put just a couple of little (with a thick brown marker)...a couple of little trunks down here at the bottom. Add some more for some more wood and stuff. And, you are done! Again, these things are optional. You don't necessarily need them for your snowman cartoon. But, they definitely add to the effect and the overall presentation of your cartoon. "
