"DIXON GILLETTE: Welcome back to Expert Village, my name is Dixon Gillette. Let's continue our guide on how to play Battlestations: Midway. Now, the only thing that can get to a submarine at this depth are depth charges. Now, as you could see here, this destroyer is lining up to drop depth charges on us. Our only course of action once this happens is to dive to depth level 4. You can always tell a destroyer knows your location by the pinging sound its sonar is making as it bounces off your hull and into his sonar room. Another way to tell if the destroyer has you in its sight is to get to your map screen by pressing Tab. Here you can see the green area which shows you the entire sonar range of that destroyer. Now, as you could see, as this destroyer has dropped its depth charges, we do have a course of action. You're going to want to push C on your keyboard and dive down to depth level 4. Now, keep in mind, when you're at depth level 4, you become invisible to all forms of sonar. This will allow you a few moments to get away but keep in mind if you stayed down to this level for too long, your pressure hull will eventually rupture and then implode which will cause a catastrophic leak, and it will send you right to the bottom. So, as soon as you're clear from all forms of threat, come back up to at least depth level 3. The last thing that you're going to need to keep in mind is that submarines have a limited supply of oxygen. Next to the helm here, you can see your oxygen meter. This is going to tell you how much oxygen you currently have and your oxygen will slowly deplete as you submerge and remain submerged. Now, keep in mind that if your O2 levels get too far depleted, your submarine will automatically surface no matter what you're doing. So, time your attacks accordingly and make sure you have enough oxygen, lest your submarine surface amongst a fleet of angry destroyers."
