"DIXON GILLETTE: Welcome back to Expert Village, my name is Dixon Gillette. Let's continue our guide on how to play Battlestations: Midway. Same thing goes for when we get a different component damaged; we're going to identify the type of repair that we need to do and then we're going to assign different crew members to repair that component. One tip I'd like to give to you is don't wait for these components to completely malfunction before repairing them. Occasionally, check your ship status screen and repair any components before they become unusable. This will save you a lot of time and will make you a more effective combat player in Battlestations: Midway. Now, as you can see here, our component icon has stopped flashing red that means that the malfunction has been repaired; however, it remains red as long as there's more than 50% damage to that component. As your men continue to repair that, you'll notice that this solid red icon will eventually go to a yellow color that means there is now less than 50% damage to this icon. Now, keep in mind if your icon is red and you received a hit that component will be damaged and rendered unusable right away. But at that point, your components are repaired and you're good to go."
