"Hi, my name is Matthew Driggers and we are here at Cigar Castle in Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village this is how to hand roll cigars and smoking tips and techniques. I also want to mention on respecting the smoker that there is no such thing as a bad cigar as far as you are concerned. If you see someone else smoking a cigar that maybe you don't like, it is not for you to decide for them whether that's a good cigar or not. It's up to each individual smoker. It's like wine, it's all about taste. You know somebody could like beer more than wine, somebody could like a particular type of wine more than the type of wine that you like. It doesn't matter. It's all up to the individual taste. I would say that if you meet someone that tells you what you are smoking is not a good cigar, then he knows nothing about cigars, he or she. So, in respecting the smoker, again, I've had a lot of people ask me should I leave the band on or should I leave the band off when I smoke it. Again that is all up to personal preference. I prefer to wait till maybe the last 3rd, I leave the band on, and when the last 3rd comes around I take it off. The reason being is because some of the vegetable adhesive that they use to put the band on, sometimes gets on the cigar and you can take the band off and end up damaging the wrapper and it can come completely unraveled just because you didn't want to leave the band on. Some weird code of honor or something like that, but again I would say wait until the last 3rd and then take it off or you could just wait until it gets down to the band and stop smoking."
