"On behalf of Expert Village, I'd like to talk about stilt walking. My name is Paul Anderson from the ABC circus and here we are. Now I took a piece of rubber from a bicycle tire. I cut the metal out and taped it onto the bottom of the shoe. There's actually 2 layers here. In case one falls off, I'll have the second layer of rubber before I'm in danger. Put the rubber on the bottom. That's only necessary if you're going to walk indoors. If you're only going to walk outdoors, you wouldn't even need to do that. The last step is to put the shoe directly on the foot plate. I line this top corner with the leading edge of the stilt. Move it a little bit away from the 2x2 and then screw directly to the foot plate. I use between 4 and 6 screws. Make sure you get the head deep into the shoe so it doesn't irritate the foot. Maybe 4 -6 screws will hold that in there. This way, these shoes are your shoes and your stilts are custom made just for you. Move the tongue away so I can get deep down into the shoe. Make sure you don't screw the screw directly through the shoe, but you get a good bit of rubber on the bottom of the shoe to hold it down. This the final step. Once the shoe is attached, you have your very own custom circus stilts. There you go."
