"Hi, this is Dan we are continuing a demonstration for expertvillage.com. Now we are going to discuss feathering. Feathering is where you just take and just lightly go over your wall to get any brush strokes out. The reason that I'm actually going over the wall is because there is going to be a little line here from the paint that I have put on the side of the casing. So I'm just going to go over that work that line out and then move on. Now when you are painting your trim work you want to keep your lines to a minimum. You do that by just taking your brush and lightly go back over the areas that you have already covered. By doing this your lines that the brush is leaving the bristles they become smaller. As your paint begins to clear you are going to fill in on it's self which would give you a much smoother finish."
