"Hi, this is Doug with ExpertVillage.com. We're going over the French Drop and sleight of hand. Now we've gone over the pieces of the trick bit by bit in slow motion. But you're not going to fool anybody like that. So how do you increase your speed? It's going back to the number one rule of magic, and that is practice. You want to start slow. We'll start with the coin. Again, starting slow, bit by bit. Bring it apart, vanish, make it reappear. Again, slow again. You want to go a little bit faster. And you want to do this in front of the mirror until you get it right. And until you go at a normal pace. What it would look like for you to actually, take a coin. Grab it, and make it, excuse me, make it disappear. Again, you want to go at full speed, this is what it looks like. And then make it reappear. Same with the orange. You want to work with that because it's larger, you're going to have to go a bit slower and work your way up. That's the key, is go a little bit faster, a little bit faster, a little bit faster. Practice in front of the mirror. That's a very, very important step, until you get it at a full speed in which you can make it reappear. Like this. Again, the key to this trick is to make it full speed, make it look natural is to practice. Do it several times as if you actually grabbed the object, again just to feel what it is like when it's a natural, and then get that at full speed. And so it again, looks effortless."
