How to Paint With Roller

"Hi, this is Dan and we are now continuing the demonstration on painting for expertvillage.com. Now we have the first course done on our paint. We are just going to continue putting the paint on the wall at this point. We start in the middle and we go up, you want to keep it about a inch from the ceiling and about a inch from the base. You want to make one complete pass and up and down before you move it over. By doing this you make sure you have enough paint on the wall for your first coat and that when you go back to back roll it, you are going to have less lines to try to work out. So now I'm going to get more paint. With this I always push it down. This ensures that any splattering that is going to happen off this roller covers is going to go back into the bucket rather then on the drop cloth, that would get on my feet and then on to the carpet somewhere else."
