"This is Dan and today I'm doing a demonstration for expertvillage.com. We are still continuing to mask our project. So now we are going to discuss masking off the base boards and the casing. We are going to use blue tape for this because usually the base and case have just had a fresh coat on it. So what we do is we want to keep it in one solid piece the entire way. We are going to catch it right on that lip to keep it flip it on that lip. Keep it from touching that wall and keep covering the base. You are going to want to ensure proper stick on the tape by applying enough to be sure to seal it down. You are just going to continue through the whole length of the wall and move forward. Now if you get it up on the wall you can just pull it up and readjust where it is going by moving the tape or by pushing it with your fingers. Once you have the fixed you want to go ahead and push the tape down the entire length of your wall. Same with your casing you just want to get into your line and keep a nice straight line for your tape. The less pieces of tape that you use the more likely more to have the better product with less touch up. Meaning try to use one piece of tape to the whole side."
