Learning to Ride A UniCycle

"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Paul Anderson from the ABC Circus and we are in Hollywood, Florida, and I'd like to show you some things about unicycles. How do you learn how to ride a unicycle? Well, there are a lot of different methods. Let's say I learned in my backyard, which I really did. I used to get on the unicycle holding on and ride as far as I could in a direction. Simply mark how far I rode each time and go a little bit further and a little bit further. And fall down. Then I look and say okay that's how far I rode and then try again. Get up and I look at that little mark where I just rode to and I go a little bit farther. Then I look back and I change my mark. Okay, now I went that far. Slowly extend my mark further and further until one time I was able to ride all the way around the block. There's my mark. Go past it. Now I add a couple more inches. Precious inches. This may take weeks, maybe even months. It certainly took me a long time, but I'm sure you'll be quicker."
