"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Paul Anderson from the ABC Circus and we are in Hollywood, Florida, and I'd like to show you some things about unicycles. You're on the final stage of picking out a unicycle. Let's talk one more thing about the details of a unicycle. This is a 20 inch. It's not my first one, but my first one was a 20 inch. This one has been accessorized with a nice blue tire, red pedals, and a red seat. Whereas the normal would be black pedals, a black seat, and a black tire. This is the most important thing. This is the new crank. It's called the square crank or a cotterless crank. This is what you want. You want the square crank where these arms are pressed on there and tightened with a knot. This is what you don't want. This is a cotter key. On a unicycle, there's a tremendous amount of force on the arm as you go back and forth. This is an example of you don't want. Sometimes, for example, on this old-fashioned wheel like this, you don't have a choice and the cotter key will work just fine. If you're going to buy a brand new one, you might as well start off with the square crank. This will last you a whole lot longer. Buy the right equipment, and it will serve you well."
