Series Summary

Juggling is a skill where objects such as balls, bowling pins or rings are thrown and caught in succession. The first known record of juggling is illustrated on a 2nd Millennium B.C. Egyptian tomb wall. Court jesters and court musicians were known to juggle in the Middle Ages in Europe and in the 18th century jugglers started performing in modern circuses. Today juggling is performed on stages across America and on cruise ships around the world but it is also a national past time enjoyed by Americans of almost all ages. From juggling balls, clubs, or scarves, juggling can be learned without years of practice.

In this free video series, our expert will teach you how to juggle. Starting with the basics, you will get easy to follow step-by-step instructions on how to do cascade juggling, which is the most basic form of juggling, and how to do circular juggling. You will also learn how to juggle under the leg and behind the back. If you are interested in learning how to juggle or do juggling tricks, let our expert show you how in this free video series.

Video Transcript

"Oh hello. My name's Robert Selander with Expert Village and I'm going to be teaching you how to juggle. I'm going to be teaching you the basics. Juggling is a really fun hobby. A lot of people do it professionally like in the circus or street performers. It's a very good form of exercise. What you work when you juggle are you arms, forearms, your biceps, triceps, deltoids, all that sort of stuff, and you end up working your core too. You work your abs, pectoral muscles, your back and it takes a lot of balance. You really develop your sense of balance when you juggle. Also you learn a lot of hand eye coordination. You're juggling two, three, all the way up to, you could be juggling twenty things at a time with just two hands. It takes a lot of hand eye coordination. What I'm going to be going over today is basic juggling basically. The cascade pattern, reverse cascade, or outside juggling, the circular pattern, those three types of juggling are with balls, and I'm also going to be showing you how to juggle clubs like I did when I walked into the camera here. And that's what we're going to be doing so here we go."
