"There are all sorts of really fun yarns that were never around 10 years ago. There's this. This is one my favorite kinds of yarns to use. It's called and eyelash yarn. Let me pull out a piece. You see on the strand of the yarn there's eyelashes coming out. When you knit with this, you end up with a bit of fluff. See there's fluff on this that comes out. If you knit a whole scarf or a sweater in it, it ends up looking like fur. So you can do it in a brown or a black and have a fur jacket, and everyone will think real because you're not wearing real fur. You made it yourself, so aren't you talented. Then there's this kind of yarn which has different strands of different things. It's a little dressier wrapped in. It's a black and white with a gold. When you knit with this, you'll see it's an animal print. It ends up this one looking like a zebra. It's fun. Then there are these ribbon yarns. Ribbon yarns are a little bit more difficult. I would recommend waiting because it's flat. It looks like a ribbon and it really is hard to keep on the needle if you're not a little bit more than a beginner. If you're an advanced beginner, then don't worry about it and go for it. This is actually going to be a stole. You see how it wobbles at the bottom. That's called a ruffle. The pattern will tell you how to do a ruffle, but if you use this kind of a fluffy yarn it makes it even more exciting. See this one has a drop stitch. Everything you know how to do already. A drop stitch and a cast together, bind together, you get your ruffle. One other kind of yarn I want to tell you about. This is another kind of eyelash yarn, but I like to use this mixed in with another yarn. This is going to be an extension of the doggy blanket. Remember I showed you that dog coat? Because my friend's dog got bigger, so rather than knit a whole thing. The dog is actually just longer so I'm going to attach this to the back. Can you see how I used an eyelash with a flat yarn so that we have a sort of 2 dimensional thing going on here."
