"We're now going to talk about round needle knitting. Instead of having 2 separate needles the way you do. I was showing you in the beginning 2 separate needles. Round needle knitting is one needle like this. It has 2 ends and you knit from one side to the other. The problem that a lot of people have with round needle knitting is they forget where the end is. This is, I know is the end of my yarn and this is where I'm going to start knitting. This is the back side of my yarn. I don't knit off that. I always knit off this side. The problem a lot of people have is that they'll let this yarn slide from this side of the needle all the way to the other side of the needle. See they leave it alone. They will knit from that side and then look what happens. If I try to knit from this side to that, then I double back on myself. I actually think round needle knitting is fun. You can make all sorts of really cool projects like these spiral scarf’s that I showed you earlier. These were done on round needles because they have a lot of stitches. Also, you get the spiral effect from casting off onto the stitches you already done. Real quick with the round needle knitting. I know I'm on the right side because my lead yarn here, the place where I begin is at the front. I'm not playing with the tail and I don't have to worry about it being empty over here. It slides around for a lot of people. It's just regular old knitting. Sometimes because the needle, because it's wrapped so tightly will get into the yarn, but it doesn't matter, so just regular knitting into the front. Take the yarn, back it around and pull it through. Easy. Here's how you knit a row on round needles. It's the same as knitting on the straight needles, but you just have to keep yourself a little bit align to it. Once you get used to them, it's really fun. Then when people see you doing it, it's a big topic of conversation. Knitting has become a hot hobby. I don't know if you've seen it, but in People magazine and all these magazines they show knit shops where celebrities go and have their own little knitting groups. Maybe if you find out in your area where the celebrities are knitting, you can go there and actually get help from somebody who you might just want an autograph from or you can help them instead of an autograph. Anyway, there's half the row. There's a lot of stitches in this row. You see how pretty it comes out. All done."
