"We touched on this before and that is bidding unnecessary Nils. We've already determined that you don't bid a Nil when your, when you have a lead of something like four forty-two to one eighty six. What are you trying to do, rub it into the opponent so that you could finish maybe with six hundred points, doesn't serve any purpose. The nil bid is a weapon and you know should be used strategically to gain points when you really need to gain the points. Now at the beginning of the game a Nil Obviously gives you a great advantage, but again you don't want to bid Nils with shaky suits, so I can say these, basically these principals. The more balanced your hand is four, three, three, three, or four, four, three, two, or even five, three, three, two. These are distribution of suits five of one three of another, three of another three of another, two of another. The more balance your hand is the less likely that you?re going to be able to sluff off or discard dangerous cards and side suites. What comprises a dangerous card. Any Ace that has less then three low cards accompanying it. Any king that is either by itself or has one card or two cards with it. Now I'll show you, and of course four trumps. Do not bid spade four card Nils. I mean four card spade suit nils, unless your partner has put out a Killer bid in front of you and were going to cover that in the sequence. Now here's a suit that probably looks okay. Here's Jack, Ten, Nine and we'll come up with another heart like the seven."
