"Tenaces has nothing to do with the game that's played with the racket and the ball. Its tenace probably from an old bridge term ten to ace. Denoting honor cards. A tenace is a broke card suit, it's a broken suit, not a broken card suit. It's a broken suit, meaning that you don't have a series of connectors. If you have ace king queen jack in a particular suit, that's a great combination because that means you have power in a suit, but a tenace is a card combination leading to a finessing position. Now, we looked at it in the last hand. This is an example of a tenace. This is a broken suit. Ace, queen, six or ace, queen, ten. They basically come in all sizes and shapes. This would be an example of a tenace this would be an example of a tenace. If you're on lead and there is a high bid on the table and you're looking to make the hand or set the hand. You don't want to be leading from a suit like this. If you play the ace, you're conceding. You're conceding the king and if the guy has the king, jack behind you, you're going to give him two tricks after this one plays the queen. So you want this suit to come to you. Don't you just feel great if you've got diamonds here and the opponent on lead leads that. Doesn't that just feel wonderful because, you're going to get at least two tricks in this suit, you might even get three. Certainly, if he has to do it again. So, you don't want to lead suits like this. You want to let suits develop. Now, once again the term tenace means a broken suit, a broken combination in the same suit. Meaning, instead of king, queen, jack, ten it's king, jack, ten. Ace, queen, ten. Ace, queen, nine, eight. And you avoid leading suits, and you want those suits to come to you."
