"Hi, I'm Doctor Michael Walker from Hill Country Facial Plastic Surgery Center. And on behalf of Expert Village I'll be talking about Blepharoplasty. What are the benefits? Like I mentioned, improved peripheral vision by having the upper eyelids done. The lower lids of course is mostly for removal of the bags and to remove a tired sort of just run down look. Many people have that complaint with extra skin around the eyes. How long do the benefits last? I've done eye lifts that are still holding up after twenty years. It somewhat depends on the patient. Continues sun exposure, smoking, other risky lifestyles, but generally if you continue sun avoidance and maintain adequate nutrition and exercise, eye lifts can hold up for decades."
