"The best thing to do is to tune into your local media. Listen to your local radio stations and television stations to find about evacuation plans. "You have to leave. It's not voluntary. You have to leave and I guess the curfew's at nine pm. We have to be out by eight. Curfew is at nine. They have to be evacuated by eight pm this evening." So, after being in a major flood as a child, and losing our house, and also as an adult, the best thing to do is listen to evacuation plans. Listen to officials. Get to high ground. Get your important belongings, your family, your medications, your pets. And, have a plan before destruction and floods actually happen."
