"I'm James Donnelly from Expert Village and today I'm going to show you what you might need in case of a flood emergency. Okay, the best thing to have in case of any emergency is of course a flood, which is what we are talking about today, is a bag of ready and ready to go, packed. Basically it's just a duffel bag with items for up to three days in case you would have to leave your house. And what you would put in there is three days worth of water, of course, things like canned goods. Beans are probably a good thing if you have a can opener or a pop top lid. If you have animals or children, I have dog food of course, and dry food for myself and my dog, and of course I have a leash packed in here. A very important thing is a flashlight. You always need a flashlight in any emergency and especially in a flood. Another good item packed in your bag is a weather radio. This also is local band for television and radio. It's battery operated and AC operated, so of course, you're probably not going to have electricity in certain locations. This is a good thing to tune to local authorities to find out what's going on in your area about your particular emergency. Another good thing to pack in your emergency kit is of course medications. If someone in your family is taking medicine, children, elderly, pack this ahead of time. Toilet paper, you never know when you might need it. So, another thing here too is first aid kits. First aid kits are very good to have. In minor emergencies so if you're out and you're stuck in a shelter at the time and need some basic first aid kits, bandaids, bandages, things like that, you are ready to go. So pack this all into your survival emergency kit for floods, earthquakes, whatever. But we are talking about floods today. So pack your bag and be ready. "
