"Hi, this is Dave for Expert Village. Today we are going to make a shrimp creole. In shrimp creole of course the star is the shrimp itself; we need to prepare these. So I'm going to show you a couple of ways we can do this. Here is our beautiful shrimp. See their is head off you can also get the head on ones very difficult sort of to get unless it's right off the boat. The have these deveiners that you can actually just pull this right through like that and it takes the vein out. Just peel it like that but to me I just like to go ahead and use the old style method just go ahead and use a paring knife and go on the back of it. That will do the same job than just buying another gadget and you see the vein comes out. The other way to do it also is to just go ahead and grab the bottom of the shrimp like this and pull it through. If you see you have this blue vein down the back go ahead and use that paring knife and just kind of cut down there it will come right out, no problem. You are going to have a nice pound of shrimp."
