"Hi. My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you one of my favorite alcoholic drinks to drink when it's cold outside - mulled wine. Notice now it's got a nice, thick syrupy-like texture. Which is perfect for our next step - which is adding the wine. So we're just going to go ahead and add all that, the whole bottle right in. And I never go bottoms up on a bottle. The reason why is because typically you're going to have sediment in the bottom. You can see if I swirl it around you can see a little bit in the bottom of this one and that's just some gritty stuff we don't want to drink. So, when I say sue the bottle, I mean use most of the bottle but not the entire thing. Alright, so what we're going to do is I'll use the wine to help moisten the sides of the pan where the sugar dried on. I'll also scrape the bottom to make sure nothing is stuck to the bottom. So, we've got some wine on the spatula here. I'm just going around and kind of scraping out all the crystallized sugar off the sides of the pan. So what I'll do now is I'll turn my heat up. You don't want to let this boil. If I put the fruit in now, the fruit is just going to cook out into mush. So I'm going to turn the heat up to about eight and when it gets to a nice simmer, then I'm going to turn it down to about a three. Once it hits a three, then we're going to add our fruit and we're going to let it simmer for an hour. So, I guess we'll come back once it has hit that stage. It should be just a couple of minutes."
