"Hi! This is Josiah Owen with Expert Village. Now we need to get a medium size bowl, and we're going to throw our one cup flour in there and our 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar. Then we're going to add a half a cup of cold butter. Now, if you look on the side, it'll tell you how much you need. Right here, it says a 1/4 pound equals 1/2 cup equals 8 tablespoons, so there's 8 tablespoons in one stick. We're just going to throw this in there and discard the wrapper. What you want to do is cut this in here. If you make a lot of cookies, you have a dough cutter. Right now, we're just going to use our hands. Throw this in here and you just want to squeeze. I definitely like to use my hands a lot when I cook. You just want to squeeze this in here until it's nice and crumbly. Turn it around much like you're kneading dough. It's definitely fun if you have kids. They can do this, but be warned of the mess. This is definitely a fun activity that you can involve your kids with. You just want to keep on going. As you can see, it's starting to break up and make a flaky consistency. You just want to keep on going until that's done. There you go."
