"Hi! This is Kevin on behalf of Expert Village talking about how to avoid razor burn and razor cuts. The last thing I'll mention is that you have to take care of your blades and change them frequently. As the blades get dull, they're more likely to grade against your skin instead of cutting the hair smoothly. This is the one advantage of disposable razors over the cartridge system of other razors. With the disposable razors, they're so cheap, it's inexpensive to throw the whole thing away. I mentioned is very bad for skin because it dries the skin out. However, alcohol is very good for cleaning your razor blades and extending their life. When you're done shaving and you rinse your razor blade and towel it off, there's still water in there and that will dull the razor. Dipping the razor in a little bit of alcohol will evaporate the water and clean out the blade. Also, bacteria grows fast on a razor blade, and the alcohol will help kill the bacteria and extend the blade's life a little bit. After about 5-10 uses, it's probably time to think about changing your razor blade. Believe me, your face will thank you."
