"Hi! This is Kevin on behalf of Expert Village talking about how to avoid razor burn and razor cuts. If you have a real problem area, you want to leave that area for last. The reason if you want that lotion and the shaving cream to stay on there for a while and really soften up those hairs. At this point, you want to go especially slow and gentle. A real light touch. If there's problem area right where the growth of the hair changes, remember you're always shaving with the direction of the growth of the hair. If it's going down, I'm shaving down here. If it changes and it starts going up the growth of the hair, I have to shift and shave in that direction and then come back down until they meet in the middle. Try rotating between your regular razor with multiple blades and a razor with only one blade. One blade won't give as close a shave unless you're really shaving for a long time, but it will give your skin a break by using a single blade for a day."
