"Hi, I'm Teri Lynn and this is David O'Donnell and here on Expert Village this segment is about using toner. So after we've removed the mask, the next step you want to do is use a toner. Try to stay away from heavy alcohol based toners, they really strip your skin of it's natural oil. You don't want to do that you just want to take away excess oil. So this is a very, very low alcohol base content. They usually place it on the back of the bottle and you can see what percentage. You want something that is under 10%. Most people use a cotton baton or a cotton ball to put the toner on, but because he has facial hair what's going to happen is it will stick it into his beard. So I'm going to go ahead and dab it into my hands. I'm just going to pat it into his skin, starting at the top and working my way down. And that way you won't waste any either. It just doesn't get absorbed into the cotton ball. What this does is close up the pores, because after a mask your pores are really open and your toner is just gonna close them up again so that they don't get full of impurities. It takes any shine away usually from the persons face as well. A toner is almost an everyday must. It is something that you can use everyday. It's very gentle to your skin. And that's how you apply toner."
