"So now I'm going to talk about the notification options in Google Calendar. What's a cool thing about the Google Calendar if you can set it up in advance and then have it notify you by e-mail or text message a certain amount of time before the event, kind of like most other calendar programs would. If you remember when we were creating the event we had the option to set reminders right here. But if you would like to set a default reminder for a calendar, say for me I have a calendar set up that reminds me when I need to pay my bills. So I set up a default reminder every week, a week ahead of time e-mail and every time it just automatically adds that reminder to any bill in that, any event in that calendar which the calendar's just my bills. But let me show you we just click on a particular calendar and then scroll down to notifications right here and then again in our calendar details there is a tab for notifications so that's another way to get to it. But you have your event reminders and then by default, remind me via, and then you can choose e-mail or pop-up and then a certain amount of time. Pop-up will just be a little pop-up message in your calendar and e-mail will send a reminder to your g-mail, E-mail address. Then you can also have the option to have multiple reminders for a particular calendar. Just one note, if you find that you're getting a whole bunch of notifications that you find kind of annoying, like maybe you are getting a e-mail reminder for a really big calendar, this is where you would turn that off. So if you're finding that kind of annoying you can turn that off here, but it's also useful to have it by default. Then you have some other ways that you can be notified or this is choose how you would like to be notified; so notify for new invitations and then you can check e-mail or SMS which I'm going to talk about later, changed invitations, cancelled invitations and invitation replies. Then you also have the option to turn on your daily agenda, which g-mail will send you an e-mail every morning at 5:00 a.m. telling you every event you have on that day, which this is kind of a cool thing too, to turn on. So this is how you change your default notifications for a particular calendar. Like I said if your having a whole bunch of reminders that are kind of annoying this is where you would remove those as well as add more."
