"So now that I have showed you how to set up your my calendars your probably want to start adding events to those calendars and there's a couple of different ways to do it if you just want to just go straight on to the calendar from the my calendar section you can click on the little arrow here for options and to do create an event on this calendar and it brings up this, this part right here which is where you enter on enter all your event details you can also up here at the top left create an event brings up the same box by default it's bringing it up for today's date and then you also you have the quick add option and you can just type something in here real fast and it will add it immediately but probably the easiest way to add a event in my opinion is to just go to the day you want to add it on and just click on the day a that is if you are in monthly view and then it brings up this box right here and you can choose the what and which calendar you want to apply it to and one cool thing about Google Calendar is that it if you just enter in like 7 pm if you just enter the 7 pm it will add the time for you and you can see right now that it's actually in a 24 hour format if you just real quickly wanted to change that and I do so I will go into my settings and under the general tab time format change it to a 12 hour format and save that so there we go 7 pm dinner if I didn't enter a time it would just come up as a all day event and be bold like that time events are have a white background with the color text of the calendar so you can see it's red just like my Bob Smith calendar if I change the color of this calendar all my events change to that color as well and then an all day event will list a solid color like that so to fill in some more details than just the time and what it is you can click on the day to get this again and do edit event details and this is like your main dialog where you want to enter in all your details for an event so if the what is dinner with a friend and then you got the date it's the 9th cause that's the day I clicked on and if I uncheck all day I can actually enter the time and it goes by 30 minute increments here I can enter the duration of it if you want to enter a repeating event you can do that here this would be good if you kept track of like say like all of the days that your bills are due and you know there due on the same day every month you could do a monthly repeat or you could do a yearly repeat for things like birthdays want to click the where and this is you don't have to enter in this information right here but it helps later if you needed to search for it you pick which calendar you want to be on and then you can write a description if you want and then down here are the options for setting reminders and I'm going to talk about that later and up here is how you add guest and I am also going to talk about that later just to create an event on your own calendar this is the way to do it of course you want to save and their it is and then if I ever want to look at any details of any event I did I can click on it and just click edit event details so I can see one more thing about creating an event if your in the day view or the next 4 days view or the weekly view you can create a event in a little different way you can see the I've got the time and the date up here and I can actually just click and drag when I have got an event lasting these 2 hours right here I'll just click and drag and it will bring up the same box to create an event with so that's how you create an event in those different views but if your in monthly view you only have to do is click on the day so that's how your create an event in Google Calendar."
