Tips for Removing Valve Cover Hoses

" Hello, I'm Mark Blocker on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment of accessibility we are going to cover removing the hoses and the ground wire. After we remove hoses on this particular vehicle there is a ground wire attached to the valve cover. So at this time we will also remove that ground wire. And that ground wire is attached with a ten millimeter bolt. As You have noticed this one was tighter than i could break free with my hand, so with the use a ratchet to assist me and give me more torque and break it free I can remove that. Remove the bolt disconnect the wire and pull it back out of the way. And a little tip I always do is to put the bolt back where I took it out of. Then it doesn't get lost, I know where it's at, and i have a loose bolt sticking up there so when I get to assembly of things and putting things back together. If I see a bolt in that condition then I know that something belongs on it. So it is kind of a reminder for me later in the assembly phase the I have got a wire or something that needs to attach to that. It also keeps the bolt and you know where the bolt is at. And you can also use it as a reminder when your assembling that something needs to go there. After removing the hoses and disconnecting the ground wire. You still have left to remove the plug wires.
