"Hi, I'm Shaun Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play a drum roll. So now that we have experienced just allowing the stick to bounce freely all over the drum, let's go ahead and add back in that element of control. We're going to do the exact same thing, however this time, we're going to limit the amount of hits or notes produced to only two. So remember the, hold the stick very loose between your forefinger and your thumb. Keep these back fingers off. And then just basically after the second note, you want to squeeze with the back fingers here. That's where our control's going to come from. So, okay? Sorry. So as you can see, when I throw the stick down, my fingers are off for basically the first note and after the second note I squeeze the stick to limit the amount of bounce at two. And it doesn't take much, it's not like. You know, it's not like squeezing as hard as I can, just a little bit of control. So then also, you got to get the left hand in here as well. So all it is, after that second note you just squeeze a little bit at the bottom. Let's take a look at what our next step is."
