"Hi, I'm Shaun Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play a drum roll. So now that we have the grip on how to let the stick bounce, which is essentially just holding the stick between your forefinger and your thumb, allowing the back fingers, or your middle finger, ring finger and pinky to hang off, let's go ahead and take a look at actually how to, what it looks like to play a bounce. And I want you to play along so you can get a feel. Because this is very important, to feel in the drum roll and allowing the stick to bounce is the most, one of the most important things in as far as like how you feel and the control thing. So let's go ahead and take a look at how to just allow the stick to bounce on the snare drum okay. So here we go. Let's play some bounce. Remember, back fingers off the sticks, and hold the stick very lightly, one wrist stroke. That's a weird, even for me playing as long as I have. It's still a weird feeling. To just not have any control whatsoever. So okay, after that, let's go ahead and take a look at what our next step is in playing a drum roll."
