on 5/25/2009 This video is great for the early beginners on drumming. My 3 year old grandson enjoys watching and practicing his drumming technique with the video. Great learning tool, Sean.

"Hi, I'm Shaun Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play a drum roll. So now that we know how to play single stroke and we know what double stroke is, let's take a look at and practice, how we play a double stroke. As I said before, double stroke is one wrist movement that's going to produce two sounds or two notes. Single stroke, one wrist movement, one sound or one note. Double stroke its one wrist movement, two sounds. So if you want to do something like this. Alright. See as you can see my wrist only goes up once and comes down once and there are two notes. So now, you can't do this if I hold the stick really tight. That's like single stroke. There's no bounce at all. So you got to really loosen up your grip. So that would be double stroke. So now that we know and we can play double stroke, let's take a look at our next step in how to play a drum roll."
