"RYAN LARSON: So now that we have our important roots down, our 1, our 2 and our 5, we can go through and apply some basic reggae rhythms to it where we just do what is called the triad, where we go 1-3-5. And you can see it has a basic same pattern and we're going to run it through each. So here's our root: 1-3-5-1-3-5-1-3-1. So that's off our 1. So if we want to do our minor, we'll make 2 the root and now we have a minor 3rd and there's our 5 right open string: 1-3-2 to 1-2-1-2-1. And we can also do it off the 5 where we'll have 1-3 and 5. So we got the open string at the top now and we have a major 3rd. And you can see a major 3rd. There's 1-3-5. And a minor 3rd you have. So you're one more fret back but your 5 is in the same spot, 1, minor 3rd, 5, major 3rd, 5. So that's some basic reggae rhythms going through and analyzing the scale in F major."
