"All right so now we are going to go through and explore our Dorian mode which is the 2nd mode of the major scale. So we have to take F our root and make that our second note of the major scale so it comes out of the E flat major scale. We made F our root, so we have F Dorian. So now when we go look at the music, we are going to write the key of E flat which is 3 flats so we have B flat, E flat and A flat. So we start right here on F. We have 1, 2, Flat 3, 4, 5, 6, Flat 7 and that is our basic minor scale; B Flat, the 3rd flat to the 7. So you have a F minor scale and it comes out of E flat major and that is your Dorian. You might remember from the pianist pallet it is a great chord and no void notes so you can just float around it. And again, it comes out of E flat major and that is your basic minor scale so you want to use that over all of your minor chords especially when you are doing chord of voicings. You want to use the Dorian scale and we will go over that a little bit later when we go over the Aoelian scale. And that is F Dorian. "
