"Now we are going to show you some compositional ideas in the key of E flat. So you want to remember you got several basic chords here. So you got your 1, 2 minor, 3 minor, 4 major, 5,7 and your 6 chord, and your 7 which leads into that minor. So now we are going to do a basic progression which is 1,2,3,3,2. Now we are going to go to the relative minor so we are going to use the 2,5 into that so 2,5, to 1, and then we are going to go to the 5,7, the 4 major and back to the 1. So now to make a melody just take some notes out of the scale, we will start on the 5th so let's go. So go through and just try some progressions moving back and forth with all the chords inside the key and then maybe try and go and see if you can lead into some other keys after you have gone through the lessons and learn different keys. Either way have fun with your composition and just try to be inspirational. "
