"So now we learned how to construct and play a D minor scale on the violin. But now let's take a look at it on staff paper, take a look. You see we have a key signature which is one flat, B flat. We have a one under the D cause that represents our first scale degree. Two is under E our second scale degree now if you notice we have a little V here, cause between two and three five and six are always half steps. This V represents a half step. Our fourth scale degree is G so we put four under that, A five again we see the V the V represents what, a half step. We keep going C is the seventh scale degree and D is our final last eighth scale degree."
