"We have now learned how to construct and play a E minor scale on the violin. But now let's take a look at it on staff paper. Come on. As you see we have our key signature which is a F sharp that is the only accidental that we have in the whole E minor scale. Let's start from scale degree number 1 we put 1 under it cause it is scale degree number 1 and that is a E. Okay 2 we see we have a F sharp. Do you see this V between 2 and 3? Between 2 and 3 in a minor scale you would represent that half step by putting a V under it. 4 is a A, 5 you see you have another V 5 and 6 half steps. So we put the V there 5 is V and 6 is C. 7 is D and 8 is E. "
